un cinq à sept: happy hour (slang)
J'ai un cinq à sept aujourd'hui où je vais boire avec des amis.
I'm going out for happy hour drinks today with some friends.
Pronounced: "sank-ah-set"
Note: this is Québecois slang.
Come learn some french with me and Monkey Boy. Powered by Egan's vocabulary. And by learn french, clearly I mean, procrastinate. Ecoutez-bien mes amis!

In 'French French' 'Cinq a sept' is a lot less wholesome, but a lot more fun. It's the time between work and dinner when one can 'disappear' and meet one's lover.
